Advertisment Paragraph.

     Los Angeles has many great destination points for people to go to; such as, the Hollywood sign, Venice beach, L.A live, and many more. Watts towers offers something different that these other attractions do not offer. They offer their vision of bringing families together in their plaza and community center to hang out and have a family day out in an art environment, they also created an environment to make new friendships and meet new people, lastly the culture of the area is a great thing to experience. With this great vision of the Watts community, it allows big businesses the opportunity to create a great image for themselves by going down to this low income community, and donating or sponsoring their products and contributing toward their art attraction. With the help that the businesses offer, Watts will be able to add and extend to their art center and allow their worldwide vision to come true.

Good Advertisement:

The advertisement is a resort by the name of Kona Village Resort selling vocational rooms. Their target audience and client is hard working people that want to get away from the “modern day stress”. Because the add gives a solution to a stressed out hard working person and provides them with the resorts web site and phone number that makes it informative, and because it has an appealing picture of what the client can expect from the resort that is what makes it persuasive and a good advertisement.

Bad Advertisement:

            The advertisement is a manufacturing company by the name of Porsche selling sport cars. Their target audience is not clear, but the client would probably be someone who wants a sport car. Because the advertisement is not direct in what it is trying to portray it makes the add not persuasive, and because Porsche put their information on top in small letters it leaves it not that effectively informative, so that is what makes this a unatractive and a bad advertisement.

Class Goal's.

My goal's for this class are to broaden my art skills. I would like to learn different techniques that will improve my talent. I plan to learn how to put my ideas down onto paper and perhaps become more creative. I also want to learn ways to promote and sell my art, and gain knowledge of how to use a computer for that purpose. In my goals i hope they help me become a more diverse artist.

Hello everyone,

I am Leah Salgado. I am 19 years old and turning 20 on Oct 2nd. I have a younger brother by the name of Mark, he is 17 years old. I also have a cute little 8 month pit bull puppy by the name of Suki Love. That little girl is my world! <3 I live with my mom (Norma) and dad (Mike) in the city of South Gate. I went to South East High School in the city of South Gate. I graduated in the year of 2010.

In high school my friends use to call me Snail because of my slowness to understand things going around me and what people were talking about; the name is pretty self explanatory. :P In high school I use to be involved with graffiti art. Getting involved with graffiti art helped inspire me, and made me the artist I am today. Although I LOVE art, I am majoring in being a Nurse because I plan to be a RN. After I finish getting certified to be a Nurse, I plan to go back to school to study to be a veterinarian because I would also like to have that as an option so I can work with animals. As for now that is all I have to say about myself. :)
